Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a celebration of our ancestor Saverio Vernazoni who provided our earliest foundations, arriving in NZ in the 1860s. Our family are continuing Italian traditions and harvest organically grown olives at our boutique olive grove in the heart of Kumeu. First planted in 2009, our Olea J5 olive trees are lovingly tended and come harvest, our olives are picked fresh, cold pressed within 24 hours and then bottled to maximise the clean fresh taste of this lovely, natural award-winning extra virgin olive oil.
Our Agrumato style olive oil is produced by simultaneously crushing the olives with perfectly ripe lemons and limes. All the resultant essential oils and flavor components get suspended in the olive oil. This zesty olive oil is best enjoyed drizzled over seafood, salads and vegetables and we recommend using this oil within 3 months of opening. Store in a cool dark place away from direct sun light. This olive oil is not filtered and may appear cloudy when cool.
