Our olive horticulture journey began in the 1990’s on the Maltese island of Gozo, approx. 60 Km’s south of Sicily.  In 2011 we moved back to KeriKeri, NZ, along with our passion for olive trees and the magical oil they produce. Our trees , planted in 2011, are now thriving in a fascinating symbiotic relationship with the surrounding soil microbiome.

The olives organically produced, are pressed within five hours of being harvested, there-by reducing oxidation, in our traditional hydraulic press—- the oil is truly ” cold-pressed. ”  The resultant non-flitered oil is of the highest quality.

The many health benefits of extra-virgin olive oil ( EVOO ) are mainly consequent to a group of chemicals known as PolyPhenol’s (P.P. ), of which there are well over 20 in EVOO. The health benefits become significant once the P.P. levels are above 250 mg/Litre. Our mission is to achieve the highest P.P. levels we can— this year our EVOO has a total P.P. level of 543 mg/L, our best result to date.
